One other concern is the hardware/software aspect. If several schools pick up on this social media does every school use current commercial tools? Does the school pick up any in house? With these tools are any of them OS or hardware dependent, if they are what are the limitations? Going all web code would solve many of these issues but also create several more. The first being web based security, if the school is doing the hosting are the liable for breaches or is the software responsible? Or is this one more subscription that the school pays for.

The last concern the social education should have I think is the hardest by fare to answer. What model of teaching are we going to follow? Is the student going to drive the learning with what they want to learn or is a set standard of building blocks placed in front of them? If a school goes with the set standard than what the student learns can be mapped out and tracked very clearly. If it is what the student wants to learn an example would be lets learn about space. The student could spend their time and learn about black holes another could learn about the physics of light, still another could learn about Jupiter. All of the students learning is valid but how do you cage the value between the three sub-subjects when the task is just space?
